February 26, 2021 Results of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Ministerial Ordinance on Partial Revisions to Rules for Reporting on Telecommunications Business

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for opinions from Saturday, December 19, 2020, through Friday, January 22, 2021, on a draft ministerial ordinance on partial revisions to the Rules for Reporting on Telecommunications Business (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 46 of 1988). As a result, MIC received four opinions, and MIC has decided to announce the opinions along with MIC’s comments to the opinions.

1. Results of appeal for opinions

The Working Group (WG) on Verification of Competition Rules under the Meeting for Telecommunications Market Validation published the 2020 Report on Verification of Competition Rules on Tuesday, October 27, 2021. With consideration of this report, MIC made an appeal for opinions on the Telecommunications Business Reporting Regulations.
As a result, four opinions were submitted.

2. Future plans

Considering the result of the appeal for opinions, MIC plans to promulgate the Ministerial Ordinance by the end of March 2021.
The Ministerial Ordinance with the drafted revision will come into effect on April 1, 2021 and apply to reports that will be due on or after April 1, 2022.
