March 10, 2021 Report from Radio Regulatory Council pertaining to Authorization of Maintenance Regulations of Radio Equipment of Aircraft Stations

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chaired by HIBINO Takashi, Chairman of the Board, Daiwa Securities Group Inc.). This inquiry was about the authorization of the maintenance regulations of the radio equipment of aircraft stations in response to an application from Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. MIC received a report from the Radio Regulatory Council stating its approval as inquired.

1. Overview

MIC examined the application of Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. for the maintenance regulations of the radio equipment of the aircraft stations. The application was considered to comply with relevant laws and regulations. Accordingly, MIC submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council today and received a report by return stating its approval as inquired.

3. Future plans

In response to today’s report from the Radio Regulatory Council, MIC will approve the applicants for the maintenance regulations of radio equipment of the aircraft stations.
