April 14, 2021 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft Notice Specifying Range of Available Frequencies for Specified Experimental Stations

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) decided to review the range of available frequencies and pertinent conditions for specified experimental stations pursuant to Article 7, Item (v) of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act (Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 14 of 1950) and drafted a notice. Accordingly, MIC made an appeal for opinions on the draft from Wednesday, March 3, through Friday, April 2, 2021. However, no opinions were submitted.

1. Overview

The Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications shall publicly notify frequencies, available areas, period, etc. of specified experimental stations pursuant to the provision of Article 7, Item (v) of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Act and the range of available frequencies, etc. has been officially notified from the first day of July every year since fiscal 2004.
Recently, MIC decided to review the range of available frequencies and pertinent conditions for specified experimental stations. Therefore, MIC drafted a notice and made the appeal for opinions on the draft from March 3 through April 2, 2021.

2. Result of appeal for opinions

MIC made the appeal for opinions on the draft from March 3 through April 2, 2021, to which no opinions were submitted.

3. Future plans

Considering the result of the appeal for opinions and the report, MIC will promptly establish the relevant notice.
