April 27, 2021 Result of Mutual Election of Chair and Executive Members of Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

The mutual round-robin voting and appointment of the Chairs and Acting Chairs of the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council and those of the Telecommunications Business Committee took place after the expiration of each member’s term of office (on April 17, 2021), along with the appointment of new members (on April 18, 2021) by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications. Furthermore, at each subcommittee belonging to the Telecommunications Business Committee, their members, expert advisors, and chief investigators were nominated.

1. Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

• Chair: KAWAHAMA Noboru (President, School of Government, Kyoto University)
• Acting Chair: SASAKI Yuri (Dean, Faculty of Economics, Meiji Gakuin University)

2. Telecommunications Business Committee

• Chair: MITOMO Hitoshi (Professor, Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University)
• Acting Chair: SATO Harumasa (Professor Emeritus, Konan University)
