April 30, 2021 WiCON 2020―Announcement of Internal Affairs and Communications Minister’s Prize Winner

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held the KOSEN Wireless IoT CONntest 2020 (technical college wireless IoT contest, WiCON 2020 for short) with awards granted to proposals for outstanding results. WiCON 2020 aimed to develop young human resources in the IoT field and promote the utilization and application of IoT technology while attempting to use radio waves effectively.
In this connection, MIC has selected a proposal with the best results at WiCON 2020 and decided to grant the Internal Affairs and Communications Minister’s Prize.

1. Overview

MIC held WiCON 2020 to develop young human resources in the IoT field and promote the utilization and application of IoT technology while attempting to use radio waves effectively.
Recently, MIC has selected a proposal with the best results from 10 candidate proposals submitted to WiCON 2020 after being screened by experts and decided to grant the Internal Affairs and Communications Minister’s Prize.

2. Results of screening

The result of the screening by the WiCON Technical Committee (Chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, Professor at the University of Tokyo) is as follows:
