June 2, 2021 Approval to Change in Interconnection Tariff related to Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of NTT East and NTT West (including Revision of Interconnection Charges for FY2021)

Approval to a corrected application with consideration of a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today approved a change in the interconnection tariff (revision of Interconnection charges for fiscal 2021) of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (hereafter referred to as “NTT East” and “NTT West”). This change is related to their category I designated telecommunications facilities.
Regarding this matter, NTT East and NTT West applied for the correction based on a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council (Report No. 24, dated May 28, 2021, hereafter referred to as the “report”). MIC has approved their applications as the content was deemed appropriate.

Outline of corrected application

A correction was made for the edge router exchange function (for IPoE connections) to describe the interconnection charges prorated according to the usage status in the interconnection tariff.
