June 3, 2021 Recommendations for Approval for Satellite Basic Broadcasting Operations

The Radio Regulatory Council (Chaired by HIBINO Takashi, Chairman of the Board, Chairman, Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd.) has made recommendations today to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications regarding approval for satellite basic broadcasting operations under Article 179, Paragraph 1 of the Broadcasting Act.

Overview

Regarding approval to satellite basic broadcasting operations under Article 179, Paragraph 1 of the Broadcasting Act, the Radio Regulatory Council has made the recommendations for reinforcing the screening system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to restrict foreign capitals. The recommendations also state the provision of information necessary for the deliberations of the Radio Regulatory Council.
