June 18, 2021 Results of Adoption of Proposals for Kosen Wireless IoT Contest 2021
To foster and proactively utilize young human resources in the IoT field while promoting the effective use of radio waves, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made an appeal for ideas from technical college students nationwide for the initiative-taking use of wireless IoT and fifth-generation mobile communications systems that would contribute to the resolution of regional issues and adopted 12 proposals.
1. Overview
MIC made an appeal for opinions from students at 57 technical colleges nationwide on measures for utilizing wireless IoT and fifth-generation mobile communication systems that would help solve regional issues and received 35 proposals from 25 technical colleges.
As a result of reviewing the 35 proposals, MIC adopted 12 proposals.
2. Future plans
Aiming to realize the ideas adopted this time, MIC plans to conduct technical demonstrations until around March 2022, with the parties concerned centering on the technical college students. MIC and the Administrative Secretariat will provide technical and operational support necessary for the demonstrations.
3. Others
The Administrative Secretariat’s website may be closed on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
