June 30, 2021 Establishment and Notification of Standard Charge Indices for Specified Telecommunications Services Provided by NTT East and NTT West

Under Paragraph 1, Article 21, of the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) established standard charge indices for specified telecommunications services (i.e., subscriber phone, ISDN, and public telephone services) provided by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (NTT East and NTT West). The standard charge indices are valid for one year, beginning on October 1, 2021, and ending on September 30, 2022, and MIC has today notified NTT East and NTT West of the indices.

  The initial value of the standard charge index is 100 (charge index as of April 1, 2000).
  The figures in parentheses are the current standard charge index (from October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2021).

  1. Voice transmission basket: Subscribed phone/ISDN (city/prefecture intercity call charges), public telephone (call charges), directory assistance charges

  2. Subscriber line sub-basket: Subscribed phone/ISDN (basic charges and facility installation fees).
