July 8, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on the Fifth Draft Report from IP Network Facilities Subcommittee of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council

Since December 2017, the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee of the Department on Information and Communications Technology under the Information and Communications Council has been studying technical requirements for telecommunications facilities in response to the spread of IoT. These requirements are a part of the technical requirements for telecommunications facilities corresponding to the switchover of networks to IP (Inquiry No. 2020 of October 31, 2005)^*.
Recently, the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee studied the ideal system for reporting and verifying telecommunications accidents to ensure safe, secure and reliable information and telecommunications networks as a part of technical requirements for telecommunications facilities in response to the spread of IoT from March 2021 to June 2021. Then the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee summarized the result of the study into the drafted fifth report. Accordingly, MIC has decided to make an appeal for opinions from Friday, July 9 through Tuesday, August 10, 2021, on the draft report.

  On the results of the study at the Subcommittee, MIC received the first report in September 2018, the second report in May 2019, the third report in March 2020, and the fourth report in November 2020 from the Information and Communications Council.
