July 29, 2021 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Draft ICT Cyber Security Comprehensive Measures 2021 and Release of ICT Cyber Security Comprehensive Measures 2021

The Cybersecurity Task Force, a unit organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), finished a proposal document entitled “ICT Cyber Security Comprehensive Measures 2021.” Accordingly, MIC will open the same to the public.

1. Overview

In July last year, the Cybersecurity Task Force, which came into operation on January 30, 2017, compiled a proposal document entitled “IoT/5G Security Comprehensive Measures 2020”. While confirming the progress of the measures listed in the proposal and considering changes in the situation, such as the promotion of a digital reform of society as a whole, the Cybersecurity Task Force has been studying how to respond to new issues and accelerate an expansion of the measures since then. Considering the study results, the Cybersecurity Task Force drafted the proposal document entitled “ICT Cyber Security Comprehensive Measures 2021,” and MIC made an appeal for opinions on the draft from Thursday, June 10 through Friday, July 9, 2021.
Considering the submitted opinions, the Cybersecurity Task Force studied and finalized the document “ICT Cyber Security Comprehensive Measures 2021.” Accordingly, MIC has decided to release the same together with the submitted opinions and the Cybersecurity Task Force’s views on the opinions.
MIC will proactively promote measures to ensure cybersecurity based on the document “ICT Cyber Security Comprehensive Measures 2021.”
