July 30, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Notice pertaining to Designation of Telecommunications Carriers Subject to Article 27-3 of Telecommunications Business Act
The Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications submitted an inquiry on July 30, 2021 to the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council about the designation of telecommunications carriers subject to Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act.
In this connection, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make an appeal for opinions on a draft notice from Saturday, July 31 through Friday, September 3, 2021.
1. Overview
This notice will designate applicable telecommunications carriers subject to Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act, which stipulates the complete separation of communications charges and terminal charges in the mobile market and the prohibition of excessive customer capturing. The notice is drafted as a result of a review based on the latest service provision status.

Designation of Telecommunications Carriers Subject to Article 27-3, Paragraph 2 of Telecommunications Business Act, under Article 27-3, Paragraph 1 of the Act.
2. Submission period
From Saturday, July 31 through Friday, September 3, 2021 (opinions submitted by postal mail must also arrive no later than the deadline date).
3. Future plans
Considering the results of the appeal for opinions, the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council will deliberate the matter and make a report to the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
