Report from Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

Today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has received a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council in response to the MIC's inquiry No. 3139 of May 28, 2021. The report was issued on the change of interconnection agreements related to the Category I designated telecommunications facilities of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (NTT East and NTT West), i.e., the addition of a connection menu item for subscriber optical fiber lines.
Considering the report, the MIC will promptly approve the change of interconnection agreements.

NTT East and NTT West have applied for approval to change their interconnection agreements in connection with the addition of a new connection menu item (for the connection of specified optical signal terminal lines) for subscriber optical fibers.
