August 11, 2021 Release of Proposal of Taskforce to Study the Ideal State of Telework in the ‘Post-Corona’ Era
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been convening the Taskforce to Study the Ideal State of Telework in the ‘Post-Corona’ Era (headed by Chief Investigator SHIMADA Yuka, Director and General Manager of Human Resources & General Affairs Division, Unilever Japan K.K.) to reorganize the ideal state of Japanese-style telework in the “post-Corona” era, as well as to study how to solve problems using ICT for the introduction and establishment of telework.
Recently, the Taskforce compiled a written proposal, and MIC will release the same.
1. Background
The positioning of telework as a workstyle has reached a historic turning point with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this fact, the Taskforce has been looking ahead to the era beyond the COVID-19 pandemic (the post-coronavirus era) to reorganize and establish the ideal state of telework for which Japan should aim and examine a wide range of matters that the government and companies should address.
Based on the results of the past studies, the Taskforce to Study the Ideal State of Telework in the ‘Post-Corona’ Era has compiled its written proposal, and MIC has decided to release the same.
