September 1, 2021 Ideal State of Interconnection System with Consideration at Stage of Migration to IP Networks―Towards the Development of Interconnection System in Anticipation of Completion of Migration to IP Networks
Final report from Information and Communications Council
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has received a final report from the Information and Communications Council (Chaired by UCHIYAMADA Takeshi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toyota Motor Corporation) today in response to MIC’s inquiry number 1230 of April 6, 2020, on the ideal state of an interconnection system with consideration of the stage of migration to IP networks.
1. Background
This is the final report based on the results of a public appeal for opinions as well as a study and deliberation at the Telecommunications Business Policy Committee and the Interconnection Policy Subcommittee under the Information and Communications Council and issued in response to MIC’s inquiry of April 2020 to the Information and Communications Council on the ideal state of an interconnection system with consideration of the stage of migration to IP networks.
