September 1, 2021 Ideal State of Interconnection System with Consideration at Stage of Migration to IP Networks―Towards the Development of Interconnection System in Anticipation of Completion of Migration to IP Networks―Result of Appeal for Opinions on Drafted Final Report

The Telecommunications Business Policy Committee (chaired by MORIKAWA Hiroyuki, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo) of the Information and Communications Council drafted a final report in response to inquiry number 1230 on the ideal state of an interconnection system with consideration of the stage of migration to IP networks, dated April 6, 2020. Then, the Committee made an appeal for opinions on the drafted final report from Thursday, July 8 through Friday, August 6, 2021.
As a result, the Committee received 11 opinions submitted. Accordingly, the Committee has decided to open the opinions to the public, along with the its views on them.
