September 24, 2021 Result of Appeal for Opinions on Designation of Telecommunications Carriers Subject to Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act and Report from Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received a report from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council on the designation of telecommunications carriers subject to Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act (in response to inquiry No. 3140 dated July 30, 2021).

1. Overview

MIC will establish a notice considering the results of a review based on the latest service provision status of telecommunications carriers. This notice will renew the designation of telecommunications carriers subject to Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act, which specifies the complete separation of communications charges and terminal prices in the mobile market and the prohibition of the improper enclosure of customers.
