January 14, 2022 Public Appeal for Proposals concerning Project to Support Shared Facility Network Reinforcement

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make a public appeal for proposals for a project to support shared facility network reinforcement as specified in the attachment.
The fiscal 2022 initial budget will partially fund this subsidy project. MIC makes this public appeal in advance so that the project can be started promptly after the fiscal 2022 initial budget bill passes the Diet. Therefore, it should be kept in mind that the implementation of the project is subject to the passage of the budget bill, and accordingly, the contents of the projects are subject to change.

Municipalities (including collaborating entities of some administrative associations and regional federations) or collaborating entities of municipalities

Article 3 (2) 2 of the Subsidy Guidelines on Projects to Support the Development of Broadcasting Networks (hereafter referred to as “the Subsidy Guidelines”).

3. Method and period of submitting proposals

1. Period of submission

From Friday, April 14, 2022, and no later than noon on Friday, February 4, 2022.

2. Method of submission

Prepare a proposal document following the Subsidy Guidelines and the Public Appeal Guidelines and submit the document in one of the following methods.

• 1.
  Online submission
  Submit the electronic data using email or a large-capacity file transfer system specified by MIC to the competent Regional Bureau of Telecommunications (the Okinawa Office of Telecommunications in the case of Okinawa)
• 2.
  Bring or mail one original, one duplicate, and a set of electronic media, such as a CD-R, to the competent Regional Bureau of Telecommunications (the Okinawa Office of Telecommunications in the case of Okinawa).
