January 14, 2022 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report from Study Group on Governance of Cybersecurity and Data in Telecommunications Business

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has organized a Study Group on Governance of Cybersecurity and Data in Telecommunications Business (chaired by OHASHI Hiroshi, Dean, Graduate School of Public Policy, The University of Tokyo) to discuss the ideal state of governance for cybersecurity measures and data handling by telecommunications carriers since May 2021 to ensure safe, secure, and reliable telecommunications services and networks in the digital transformation era.
MIC will make an appeal for opinions from Saturday, January 15 through Friday, February 4, 2022 on a draft report compiled by the Study Group on Governance of Cybersecurity and Data in Telecommunications Business.
