January 17, 2021 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Revision of Guidelines for Operation of Article 27-3 of Telecommunications Business Act

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will make an appeal for opinions from Tuesday, January 18 through Wednesday, February 16, 2022 on the draft revision of the Guidelines for the Operation of Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act.

1. Overview

MIC’s Guidelines for the Operation of Article 27-3 of the Telecommunications Business Act (hereafter referred to as “the Operation Guidelines”) has been established to show the concrete concept and case examples of the operation of Article 27-3 and relevant provisions of the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1974).
To clarify the interpretation of the Operation Guidelines based on recent institutional development, including the revision of the Enforcement Regulations for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Act (MPT Ordinance No. 25 of 1985), MIC has decided to revise the Operation Guidelines and make the appeal for opinions on the proposed revision.
