In addition to advancing the existing 5G mobile network, B5G will become a social infrastructure, and its use will become increasingly diversified. In light of this, it is even more important for industry, academia, and government to collaborate and strategically promote technology development and intellectual property standardization activities.
Therefore, the theme of this seminar is how industry-university collaboration should be in the B5G era. As a keynote speech, Professor NAKAO Akihiro, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, will introduce the efforts of the Next Generation Cyber Infrastructure. In the panel discussion, the panelists will discuss the importance of industry-academia collaboration, expectations for B5G, and the future direction of intellectual property and standardization based on the introduction of case studies of B5G and local 5G projects through industry-academia collaboration.
