October 28, 2022 Selection of Project Proposals for Demonstration Project on Regional Information Dissemination Using Video Content

Based on the evaluation results of external experts, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has selected the project proposals for the demonstration project on regional information dissemination using video content.

1. Demonstration project overview

This project aims to promote the dissemination of information using regional video content by encouraging local governments and regional broadcasters to put proposals together. In addition, this project seeks to verify effective dissemination methods in countries (the UK and France) to which local governments have a need to disseminate information, but which have been little served by MIC projects undertaken to date.

2. Selection of proposals

Via a contractor (Dentsu Inc.), MIC solicited joint applications from information dissemination entities (local governments) and video producers (broadcasters and the like) between Friday, September 2 and Friday, September 30, 2022. Based on the evaluation results of external experts, MIC has selected a total of 22 project proposals.
