November 11, 2022 Release of FY2021 Verification Report on Telecommunications Accidents and Accident Situations of Telecommunications Services (FY2021)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) requires that telecommunications carriers report telecommunications accidents over a specific scale under the Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984). Furthermore, MIC has organized the Telecommunications Accident Verification Meeting since 2015 for the purpose of third-party verification from a professional perspective, to contribute to the prevention of the recurrence of telecommunications accidents. Recently, MIC summarized the status of telecommunications accidents in fiscal 2021 and decided to publish the details, along with the results of verification by the Telecommunications Accident Verification Meeting, which have been compiled as the FY2021 Verification Report on Telecommunications Accidents.
