November 14, 2022 Result of Solicitation of Opinions on Draft Report of Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee
Technical requirements for Convenience Radios that operate automatically or remotely, under technical requirements related to the utilization and advancement of low-power mobile communication systems for private utilities, as part of technical requirements for upgrading of low-power wireless communications systems
The Land Radiocommunication Subcommittee (Chief Investigator: ANDO Makoto, professor emeritus, Tokyo Institute of Technology) under the Department on Information and Communications Technology of the Information and Communications Council, solicited opinions from Friday, September 23 through Monday, October 24, 2022, on its draft report on technical requirements for Convenience Radios that operate automatically or remotely, under technical requirements related to the utilization and advancement of low-powered mobile communication systems for private utilities, as part of technical requirements for upgrading of low-power wireless communications systems. As a result, three opinions were submitted. Accordingly, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) discloses the submitted opinions to the public and the view of the IP Network Facilities Subcommittee on the opinions.

2. Future schedule
The Department on Information and Communications Technology (chaired by OIE Yujiro, professor emeritus, Kyushu Institute of Technology) of the Information and Communications Council will consider the matter at the next meeting in light of the result of this solicitation of opinions.
