December 20, 2022 Sixth Automatic Translation Symposium—The Role of Future AI-Based Multilingual Translation Technology in the Post-COVID Age

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), in cooperation with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology and the Global Communication Development Promotion Council, is researching and developing multilingual translation technology and its implementation in society. This effort aims to eliminate all language barriers worldwide and realize global and free exchange.
The 6th Automatic Translation Symposium—The Role of Future AI-Based Multilingual Translation Technology in the Post-COVID Age will be held to disseminate information on multilingual translation technology, which is becoming increasingly sophisticated and commercialized, at a time when the number of foreign nationals visiting and residing in Japan is expected to increase in response to the revision of restrictions on entry to Japan by newly arriving foreign nationals.
