March 25, 2022 Solicitation of Proposals for Bioelectromagnetic Environment Research and Evaluation Technology Research on Radio Wave Safety to Be Conducted from FY2022

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will solicit proposals from Friday, March 25 through Monday April 25, 2022, for bioelectromagnetic environment research and evaluation technology research on radio wave safety to be conducted from FY2022.

1. Research theme, etc. subject to public solicitation of proposals

2. Solicitation period

From Friday, March 25, to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022

3. Application method

Prepare a set of proposal documents following the style specified in the Proposal Preparation Guidelines, and make an online application by entering application information through the Cross-ministerial Research and Development Management System (e-Rad). (Complete all application operations on the system, including the submission of proposal documents, by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022.)

4. Selection of implementing organization

The submitted proposals will be evaluated by experts and specialists, and MIC will select the implementing organization based on the external evaluation. The implementing organization will conclude a consignment agreement with MIC to conduct this research project.

5. Future schedule

  • Mid-May 2022: External evaluation, and selection of the research institution to be contracted
  • Early June 2022: Notification of approved/unapproved proposals, announcement of the result of public solicitation*
  • After the notification of approval: Conclusion of a consignment agreement with the selected research institution, and implementation of the research project

    The name of the selected research institution (in the case of joint research, the name of each research institution) will be made public.
