May 10, 2022 Holding Global Digital Summit 2022

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and Nikkei Inc. will hold Global Digital Summit 2022 on Monday, June 6, and Tuesday, June 7, 2022, under the theme, “Digital Trust: Towards a Reliable Internet Society."

1. Outline

Thanks to AI and other cutting-edge digital tools, all aspects of the real world, from business to daily life, are undergoing digital transformation (DX). At the same time, the virtual online society known as the “metaverse” also appears to be growing. Ensuring the safe and secure development of this new Internet society requires not only reliable digital infrastructure and the assurance of cybersecurity, but also the development and standardization of new rules and legal frameworks that facilitate digital transactions and data flows.
MIC and Nikkei Inc. will hold Global Digital Summit 2022 under the theme, “Digital Trust: Towards a Reliable Internet Society," to discuss with Japanese and international business leaders, government officials, and experts how to foster “digital trust” for creating a highly convenient and reliable Internet society.

5. Registration fee and how to apply

  Registration: Free of charge
• 2.
  How to apply: Applications will be accepted for both attendance at the hall and live streaming.

If you wish to attend the event at the hall, fill in the application form available on the website of Global Digital Summit 2022 and send it by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022. If the number of applications exceeds the capacity, we will choose participants by lottery and send tickets by email for each time frame applied for (on both event dates the audience in the AM event cannot attend the PM event, and vice versa.)
If you wish to attend the event online, make an application by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022.
