Revision of Examination Standards concerning a temporary broadcasting station for disaster relief in the Kanto region

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) drafted an official directive for the partial revision of the Examination Standards related to the Radio Act (MIC Directive No. 67 of 2001) in order to make the former site of the FM broadcasting station (77.1MHz and 78.8MHz) of the Open University of Japan available to set up a temporary broadcasting station for disaster relief and for other purposes.
Accordingly, MIC will solicit opinions on the draft official directive from Thursday, May 12 through Friday, June 10, 2022.
