May 30, 2022 Decision to Provide Subsidy for the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to provide subsidies to seven entities under the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives using the FY2021 supplementary budget and the FY2022 initial budget.
1. Project overview
This project aims to subsidize a part of expenses when such entities as municipalities and third-sector corporations develop optical cable television networks in order to ensure reliable and stable information transmission in times of disaster in local areas and to strengthen disaster resistance.
MIC made a public solicitation for this project from January 17 to February 4, 2022.
2. Subsidy recipients
As a result of the evaluation by external experts, MIC decided to grant subsidies to the following seven entities today:
