May 31, 2022 Acceptance of License Applications for Complementary FM Relay Stations
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will accept license applications for complementary FM relay stations for amplitude modulation (AM) medium-frequency radio broadcasts from Wednesday, June 1 through Friday, July 1, 2022.
1. Overview
MIC established Notice No. 183 in 2014 (on the determination of basic broadcasting stations for which license applications are required within the period of a public notice made under Article 6-4, item (viii) of the Regulation for Enforcement of the Radio Act). In the Notice, MIC specifies the location, frequency, and antenna power of the transmission equipment of each terrestrial basic broadcasting station for which an application must be submitted within a period announced by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
This time, MIC announces information concerning license applications as shown below, and will accept license applications for the complementary FM relay station for AM medium-frequency radio broadcasting.

From 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, through 5:15 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 (Submission of applications by postal mail must also arrive no later than the deadline).
