June 21, 2022 Result and Report of Solicitation of Opinions on Draft Report of Study Group on the Advancement of Space Weather Forecasting and the Announcement of the Report

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) discloses the report of the Study Group on the Advancement of Space Weather Forecasting (chaired by KUSANO Kanya, Director of the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research, Nagoya University).

1. Background

Since January 2022, MIC has been holding meetings of the Study Group on the Advancement of Space Weather Forecasting to examine the observation and analysis capabilities and appropriate measures to deal with space weather forecasting.
MIC has compiled a report based on discussions at the Study Group and the result of the solicitation of opinions, and announces the report together with the result of the relevant solicitation of opinions.
