July 6, 2022 Appeal for Opinions on Draft Annual Report on Market Validation in the Telecommunications Business Field (FY2021) and Draft Annual Plan for Market Validation in Telecommunications Business Field (FY2022)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has drafted an annual report on market validation in the telecommunications business field for fiscal 2021 and the annual plan for market Validation in telecommunications business field for fiscal 2022. Accordingly, MIC will make an appeal for opinions on these drafts from Thursday, July 7 through Friday, August 5, 2022.

1. Overview

Based on the Annual Plan for Market Validation in Telecommunications Business Field (FY2021), MIC drafted the annual report on market validation in the telecommunications business field for fiscal 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the “Draft annual report”).
In addition, based on advice from MIC’s Meeting for Telecommunications Market, MIC drafted the annual plan for market validation in telecommunications business field for fiscal 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the “Draft annual plan”) , which describes the implementation policy of analysis and verification regarding the market verification for fiscal 2022, to implement market verification where the analysis and verification of market trends in the telecommunications business field and the confirmation of the appropriateness of the business operations of telecommunications carriers are conducted in an integrated fashion.
MIC has decided to make this appeal for opinions on these drafts.

3. Future plans

With consideration of opinions submitted, MIC will finalize and release the annual report and annual plan.
