July 8, 2022 Nomination of Candidate Organizations to Participate in Project to Reinforce Regional Information Transmission Capabilities through Broadcast Content under FY2021 Supplementary Budget and FY2022 Budget

Based on the results of evaluation by external experts, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided on candidate organizations to participate in the project to reinforce regional information transmission capabilities through broadcast content.

1. Project overview

The project to reinforce regional information transmission capabilities through broadcast content aims to produce content that conveys the appeal of regions in Japan through collaboration with local governments and local industries and to broadcast the content overseas. Also, the project aims to maintain and strengthen Japan’s information transmission capabilities by fostering interest in and demand for the region by implementing interrelated projects.
MIC has invited applications for this project through a subsidized entity (executive organization) from Friday, April 22, through Friday, May 20, 2022.

2. Selection results

Based on the evaluation results by external experts, 34 projects were selected as candidates for adoption.
