July 19, 2022 Selection of Organizations to Implement Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users under FY2022 Initial Budget (Regional Cooperation)

As a result of the public solicitation through a subsidized entity, Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC., project-implementing organizations were selected for the regional cooperation-type of project on digital utilization support for users under the FY2022 initial budget.

1. Project overview

The project on digital utilization support for users aims to support digital utilization by citizens, close the "digital divide," and realize a society in which all members can enjoy the benefits of digitalization, by subsidizing measures such as holding seminars to provide elderly people who may have trouble related to digital utilization with advice and consultation services concerning how to use smartphones for conducting administrative procedures, etc. online.

From Friday, April 15, through Friday, May 13, 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited project-implementing organizations for the regional cooperation-type of this project through the subsidized entity, Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC. (hereinafter referred to as the "executive organization").

2. Selection of organizations

As a result of the public solicitation, MIC received 616 applications for the regional cooperation-type from 242 organizations, and selected organizations based the evaluation results by the external experts' meeting set up under the executive organization.

3. Future schedule

Project-implementing organizations may be additionally selected on a later date based on applications for holding seminars for people with disabilities among those not selected this time. Additional solicitation of project-implementing organizations will not be held in FY2022.
