July 28, 2022 Holding of FY2022 Briefing Sessions on Safety of Radio Waves

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold Briefing Sessions on Safety of Radio Waves in order to help people gain a correct understanding about the effects of radio waves from mobile phones, wireless LAN, and the like on the human body.

With the diffusion of mobile phones, such as smartphones, and wireless LAN, radio waves have become familiar and indispensable to our everyday lives. On the other hand, concerns have been voiced about the effects of radio waves on the human body and health in line with the expansion and diversification of the use of radio waves.
In order to help people gain a correct understanding about the safety of the radio waves emitted from mobile phones, such as smartphones, wireless LAN, and other devices, MIC has been holding Briefing Sessions on Safety of Radio Waves in which experts in fields concerning the effects of radio waves on the human body and health provide explanations in an easy-to-understand manner. This fiscal year, MIC will hold the sessions in the following months. Participants can attend the sessions either in person or online.

The participation method and other information are to be announced on the website of the Regional Bureau of Telecommunications in charge.
