July 29, 2022 Decision to Provide a Subsidy for the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to provide a subsidy to one entity under the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives using the FY2021 supplementary budget.

1. Project overview

This project aims to partially subsidize expenses when such entities as municipalities and third-sector corporations develop optical cable television networks in order to ensure reliable and stable information transmission in times of disaster in local areas and to strengthen disaster resistance.
MIC made a public solicitation for this project from April 22 through May 20, 2022 (the first deadline).

As a result of the evaluation by external experts, MIC decided to grant a subsidy to the following entity today:
