August 5, 2022 Result of Solicitation of Opinions on Draft Official Directive for Partial Revision of Examination Standards Related to the Broadcast Act

From June 14 through July 13, 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions on a draft official directive for revising the Examination Standards Related to the Broadcast Act (MIC Directive No. 30 of 2011) in order to review the provisions limiting a general broadcaster conducting cable general broadcasting operations from opening a community broadcasting station.
As a result, six opinions were submitted. Accordingly, MIC discloses the submitted opinions along with MIC’s views on the opinions to the public.
