August 5, 2022 Holding of Briefing Sessions on Safe and Secure Radio Wave Use in Medical Institutions

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will provide Briefing Sessions on Safe and Secure Radio Wave Use in Medical Institutions through on-demand delivery in order to help medical personnel gain a better understanding of the importance of the safe and secure use of equipment that utilizes radio waves, such as medical telemetry.
This briefing session will present the proper use of medical equipment that utilizes radio waves in medical institutions, and the examples and issues regarding the influence of radio waves on medical equipment, focusing on the revised version of the Guide for Safe and Secure Radio Wave Use in Medical Institutions, which was published by the Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference Japan (EMCC) in July 2021, and the Guidelines and Descriptions for Building Plan Considering the Use of Radio Wave Equipment on Medical Institutions－For Wireless Medical Telemetry Systems, which were published by the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) in September 2021.

First session: From 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 5, 2022, to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022
The second and third sessions are scheduled to be held in November 2022 and January 2023, respectively. Details will be announced separately.
