August 5, 2022 Holding Lecture on "How to Apply for Individual Number Card" by Lecturers Dispatched under FY2022 Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is soliciting lecturers and organizations to host the lecturers under the FY2022 Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users. When holding seminars by dispatched lecturers, host organizations are required to hold a lecture on how to apply for an individual number card.

1. Purpose of the project

The project on digital utilization support for users aims to support digital utilization by citizens, close the "digital divide," and realize a society in which all members can enjoy the benefits of digitalization by taking measures including: holding seminars to provide elderly people who may have trouble related to digital utilization with advice and consultation services concerning how to use smartphones for conducting administrative procedures, etc. online; and subsidizing the dispatch of lecturers to these seminars.
MIC has been soliciting lecturers to be dispatched and host organizations under the FY2022 Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users since July 19.

2. Outline of announcement

The organizations to host lecturers dispatched under this project are required to plan seminars of at least three hours, and lectures to be supported by the dispatched lecturers are limited to those designated in advance. The lectures to be supported by the dispatched lecturers are designated at the time the lecturers are matched to the host organizations after selection.
In order to further promote the use of individual number cards, a lecture on how to apply for an individual number card must be included in lectures designated for seminars to be held by host organizations under this project. This announcement is intended to clarify the designated lecture, and there is no change to the details of the procedure for the ongoing solicitation of lecturers and host organizations.

3. Solicitation schedule

In order to secure sufficient time for consideration following this announcement, the schedule for soliciting host organizations is changed as follows.
