September 9, 2022 Additional Public Solicitation for Lecturers and Host Organizations under FY2022 Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will make an additional public solicitation for lecturers to be dispatched and organizations to host the lecturers under the FY2022 Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users.

1. Purpose of the project

The project on digital utilization support for users aims to support digital utilization by citizens, close the “digital divide,” and realize a society in which all members can enjoy the benefits of digitalization by taking measures including: holding seminars to provide elderly people who may have trouble related to digital utilization with advice and consultation services concerning how to use smartphones for conducting administrative procedures, etc. online; and subsidizing the dispatch of lecturers to these seminars.

2. Outline of additional solicitation

MIC will make an additional public solicitation for lecturers to be dispatched and host organizations under the FY2022 Project on Digital Utilization Support for Users according to the following schedule. This solicitation is intended to select lecturers and host organizations to implement the project by the method of "dispatching lecturers." After lecturers and host organizations are selected, the lecturers and host organizations will be matched, following which the lecturers will be dispatched to the organizations. Please note that matching may not be possible in some cases and lecturers may not be dispatched depending on the needs of the host organizations or the uneven distribution of lecturers.

Period of acceptance of applications

Application screening and selection date

Screening and selection of each submitted application will be carried out sequentially as soon as the application is received. Please note that the order of screening and selection may vary, depending on the content of the application.

3. Future schedule

No further additional solicitation of lecturers to be dispatched or host organizations will be held in FY2022. As this project is implemented within the limits of the budget, acceptance of applications may be closed before the end of the aforementioned period of acceptance if the prescribed upper limit has been met.
