September 16, 2022 Response to the Problems Regarding "BS1 Special"

Regarding the program "BS1 Special; The Tokyo Olympics Through the Eyes of Naomi Kawase" aired by the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "NHK") on December 26, 2021, NHK itself admits there was a deviation from the broadcasting guidelines, and it is found to be in conflict with the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Broadcast Act (Act No. 132 of 1950). Thus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) issued a warning so as to prevent such things from happening in the future, and to ensure thorough implementation of recurrence prevention measures.
