September 28, 2022 Decision to Provide a Subsidy for the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to provide a subsidy to one entity under the Disaster Resistance Enhancement Project by Using Optical Cable TV to Establish New Daily Lives using the FY2022 supplementary budget.

1. Project overview

This project aims to subsidize a part of expenses for such entities as municipalities and third-sector corporations in developing optical cable television network with telecommunications ensuring reliable and stable information transmission in times of disaster in local areas and strengthening disaster resistance.
MIC made a public solicitation for this project from April 22 through July 15, 2022 (the third deadline).

2. Subsidy recipient

As a result of the evaluation by external experts, MIC decided to grant a subsidy to the following entity today:
