September 28, 2022 Results of Solicitation of Opinions on Draft Notice for Partial Revision of Dissemination Plan for Basic Broadcasting and Report from the Radio Regulatory Council

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) solicited opinions from August 5 through September 8, 2022, on the draft of a public notice for the partial change of the Dissemination Plans for Basic Broadcasting (MIC Public Notice No. 660 of 1988). As a result, seven opinions were submitted. Accordingly, MIC discloses the submitted opinions along with MIC's views on the opinions to the public.
With consideration of the results of the solicitation of opinions, MIC submitted an inquiry about the draft public notice to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chaired by HIBINO Takashi, Chairman of the Members of the Board of Daiwa Securities Group Inc.) today. Then MIC received a report from the Radio Regulatory Council stating its approval as inquired.
MIC will promptly make changes in the Dissemination Plans for Basic Broadcasting, based on the results of opinions submitted and the report from the Radio Regulatory Council.

1. Results of public solicitation of opinions

MIC solicited opinions for 35 days from August 5 to September 8, 2022.

2. Report from the Radio Regulatory Council

With consideration of the results of the solicitation of opinions, MIC submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council about partial changes in the Dissemination Plans for Basic Broadcasting today (Wednesday, September 28, 2022). Then, MIC received a report from the Council today stating its approval for the draft.

3. Future schedule

MIC will promptly make changes in the Dissemination Plans for Basic Broadcasting, based on the results of opinions submitted and the report from the Radio Regulatory Council.
