September 28, 2022 Authorization of Change to the Articles of Incorporation of Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK)

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted an inquiry today to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chaired by HIBINO Takashi, Chairman of the Board, Daiwa Securities Group Inc.) concerning authorization for a change to the articles of incorporation of Japan Broadcasting Corporation applied by the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (headed by MAEDA Terunobu, President) based on the provisions of Article 18, Paragraph 2 of the Broadcasting Act (Act No. 132 of 1950). A report was received from the Council stating its approval as inquired.

1.Summary of change

Considering the revision of the provisions of Broadcasting Act pertaining to the Japan Broadcasting Corporation based on the Act Partially Amending the Radio Act and Broadcasting Act (Act No. 63 of 2022, hereinafter referred to as the "Amendment Act"), Japan Broadcasting Corporation changes the articles of incorporation of Japan Broadcasting Corporation for the development of necessary provisions.
