October 31, 2023 Announcement of Telework Top Runner 2023: Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award and More

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) actively collects and recognizes pioneering examples to further promote telework—a flexible work style that capitalizes on time and location using ICT. MIC is pleased to announce that it has selected the participants for the Telework Top Runner 2023 and the recipients of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award for Telework Top Runner 2023.

2. Results of Telework Top Runner 2023 Review

Based on the results of the screening by external experts (Attachment 1 in PDF), 20 organizations were selected as Telework Top Runners 2023 (Attachment 2). The following six organizations were selected to receive the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award for Telework Top Runner 2023 (Attachment 3) for their outstanding efforts that should serve as models for other organizations.

3. Awards ceremony

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 27, 2023, as part of the “Change the Way We Work” telework event. The recipients of the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award will each be presented with a certificate of commendation from the Minister. The Cabinet Office, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism sponsor this event. It will be held in conjunction with the Local Revitalization Telework Award presented by the Cabinet Office’s Office for Promotion of Regional Revitalization and the Shining Telework Award presented by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare. “Change the Way We Work” Telework Event

  *Presentations of case studies will be made from 2:30 to 4:35.
