November 10, 2023 Holding FY2023 Central Emergency Communication Conference’s Seminar Solicitation for seminar participants
The Central Emergency Communication Council (President IMAGAWA Takuo, Director-General of the Telecommunications Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC)) will hold a seminar to deepen the public understanding and knowledge of the smooth implementation of emergency communications for fiscal 2023.
1. Purpose
The Emergency Communication Council comprise approximately 2,400 parties involved in emergency communications, including relevant ministries and agencies, local governments, designated public institutions, and radio station licensees. Their main activity is to develop a communications system to ensure that information is transmitted quickly and accurately in an emergency.
This seminar has been held since 1996. It is a part of the Emergency Communication Council’s activities, and this year marks the 24th time it has been held. In this seminar, the Cabinet Office and the Japan Disaster Reduction Platform will introduce their disaster prevention measures, including specific examples.
This seminar will be held online and open to anyone interested. Please see the attached flyer for details.

Natural disasters are becoming more severe and frequent, and there are concerns about a Nankai Trough earthquake and earthquake directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area. In this context, he will introduce the latest trends in the development of the next-generation comprehensive disaster prevention information system, which will be the core of the disaster prevention digital platform required for the coordination of disaster prevention operations of various organizations, including the national government, local governments, and designated public agencies.
Lecture (2): Efforts of the Disaster Prevention DX Public-Private Partnership Council: The Environment Surrounding Disaster Prevention Digitization

The Disaster Prevention DX Public-Private Partnership Council, consisting of local governments and private companies and organizations, was established in December 2022. This lecture will introduce the efforts of this council, which was established for the social implementation and market creation of disaster prevention DX, as well as the environment surrounding the digitalization of disaster prevention in Japan and the future direction to be taken.
