The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held the first Japan-Korea ICT Policy Dialogue with the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Republic of Korea.

4. Results of the meeting

Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, MATSUMOTO Takeaki, and Minister of Science and ICT, LEE Jong-ho, agreed to hold the Japan-Korea ICT Policy Forum, a Japan-Korea ministerial-level meeting in the field of information and communications, on a regular basis and held the first meeting today. At this meeting, the both ministers exchanged views on issues of interest to both countries in the field of information and communications, including artificial intelligence (AI) and Open RAN. They agreed to continue discussions on cooperation between the two countries at the administrative level.
