The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made a solicitation of opinions from November 25 through December 26, 2022, on a draft Ministerial Order Partially Amending Regulation for Enforcement of Act on Identity Confirmation, etc. Performed by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers for Their Subscribers, etc. and Prevention of Wrongful Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services (MIC Order No. 167 of 2005). As a result, 3 opinions were submitted. Accordingly, MIC discloses the submitted opinions along with MIC's views.

MIC prepared a draft Ministerial Order Partially Amending Regulation for Enforcement of Act on Identity Confirmation, etc. Performed by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers for Their Subscribers, etc. and Prevention of Wrongful Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services, and made a solicitation of opinions from November 25 through December 26, 2022.

In response to the solicitation of opinions, three opinions were submitted.

3. Promulgation and entry of the Ministerial Order into effect

Based on the results of the solicitation of opinions, the Ministerial Order Partially Amending Regulation for Enforcement of Act on Identity Confirmation, etc. Performed by Mobile Voice Communications Carriers for Their Subscribers, etc. and Prevention of Wrongful Use of Mobile Voice Communications Services was promulgated and entered into effect today.
