February 15, 2023 Public Solicitation for Subsidized Companies (Executive Organizations) for the Project to Reinforce Regional Information Transmission Capabilities through Broadcast Content

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has decided to make a public solicitation from Wednesday, February 15 through Friday, March 8, 2023, for subsidized companies (executive organizations) for the project to reinforce regional information transmission capabilities through broadcast content under the FY2022 supplementary budget and FY2023 budget.

1. Purpose of the project

This project is intended to encourage private companies, etc. to produce content that conveys the appeal of regions in Japan through collaboration with local governments and local industries, and to broadcast the content overseas. The project also aims to maintain and strengthen Japan's information transmission capabilities by fostering interest in and demand for the regions concerned through the implementation of interrelated projects.

2. Submission method

Complete the application documents in accordance with the Subsidy Grant Guidelines on Promoting Information and Communications Usage Projects and the submission procedure for subsidized companies (executive organizations) for the project to reinforce regional information transmission capabilities through broadcast content. Then submit the application documents by post, e-mail, or the system for filing requests for subsidies (jGrants). For details, please see the submission procedure.

Decision on granting subsidies: Early April 2023
