February 27, 2023 FY2022 Entrepreneurs' Koshien and Entrepreneurs' Expo Conventions

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) will hold the Entrepreneurs' Koshien (for students) on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, and the Entrepreneurs' Expo (for young entrepreneurs) on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

1. Purpose of the events

MIC and NICT are implementing the National Accelerator Program to create regional ICT startups with innovative technologies and services. These events form the final part of the program.
Participating in these events will be promising regional ICT startups and next-generation human resources with ambitions to start businesses, who have been identified by NICT's ICT mentors at partner events in each region. The participants will present business plans that they have refined in mentoring sessions with the ICT mentors.

• Business plan contest featuring teams of students selected from high schools, technical colleges, universities, and graduate schools across Japan

• Awards: Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award, Jury Special Award, Partner Company Special Award

2. Entrepreneurs' Expo on Wednesday, March 8

• Business matching challenge by selected ICT startups from all over Japan
• Jury Chair: NAKANO Shinzo (President/Partner of ITOCHU Technology Ventures Inc.)
• Awards: Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award, Jury Special Award, Partner Company Special Award

4. Streaming

Coverage of these events will be streamed for the general public via MCAS from 1:00 p.m. on both days.
